So doing the apps that basically everything else does (including PS4), having voice commands (PS4 has again), and offering mostly the same games with less resolution/general performance than your competitor gets you an emmy? Yeah...

If you like Xbox exclusives better then that's one thing but come on it's not some great tech achievement.  Some new GPU should win this above any console or if you're giving it to a console how about give it to the one with revolutionary stuff like shareplay or the first mainstream game streaming service?

Exactly.  A TV program based around TV, who makes money from TV ratings, gives an award for the only console to have a TV-in (HDMI-IN) connection which could lead to higher ratings.

Rocket science.

Soo TV shows aren't suffering? 

 

 

If TV shows were being hit by lack of live views then why are there more being made. Also if streaming is stopping people watch programmes live then how come there's a market for "many more cable services".
