You mean like treating vgchartz numbers as fact ("bayonetta 2 540k after 2 months") even though they have been proven severely inaccurate time and time again? I'd much rather believe an undisputed number leak in an Neogaf NPD thread than vgchartz numbers, that get adjusted every other week.

Especially since the October and November Bayonetta 2 numbers were actually leaked by different people.

link to "different people," please. and it's in the nature of "number leaks" that it's difficult to dispute them. because most people are not privy to the official figures.

In the Neogaf NPD thread there are always several people that have the actual numbers, that's why that "PS4 only lost by 10k to the X1 in November"-thing was disputed pretty fast.

Around the Network

I'm not sure how anyone is arriving at Bayonetta 2 hitting 1M sold as a given. With an installed base that small, the drop off is going to be massive, especially considering it's a type of game that won't reach a significant segment of Nintendo's audience.

update: bayonetta 2 inches away from 600k as predicted (at .59m right now) and wonderful 101 at 300k, a jump of 20k from last week (a serious bump, i think).

W101 deserves so much more in sales. It's my GOTY for 2014... Even though it was released in 2013, because nothing really worthy of GOTY came out in 2014.

Bayonetta 2 is pretty cool too. I'd have liked them to build a little more on the original, but it's still a great game, with a slightly more cohesive narrative, and a few nice additions.
