Not bad. I don't think it will reach sales like the first one but I think it can reach around 3mil on LT, which is pretty good. I'm happy DriveClub and LBP3 were able to find an audience after being sent out on such busy months (and rough releases)

Yeah both titles have excelled expectations

Must be the FF7 remake level. :p

Surprising, but no reason to celebrate too much just yet. IIRC LBP is all about legs.

well if the initial month and a half is good the legs will likely be better especially on a more dominant system than last time.  Same logic applies to PS4 and Sony's traditional legs.  They're just covering their weaknesses while still obviously going to enjoy the traditional strengths.

Get Your Portable ID!Lord of Ratchet and Clank

Duke of Playstation Plus

Warden of Platformers

I'm kind of wondering where all these sales (particularly in the US) came from unless December NPD shows some serious growths from November, or the bundle really took off... but not even Amazon's rough correlation supports that idea.

EU's is also hard to believe given how its charted on the charts outside of the UK where its done better.

Great sales

Put the game back in earlier, and I may have to retract my recommendation until a latter date. Sumo still hasn't fixed all the bugs - I'm astonished the embarrassing bug during the final boss still exists. (Toggle goes invisible when he switches to small size, and after a few deaths he appears...as a generic Sackboy.) Is this nitpicking? I dunno, but it certainly put me off playing for a while.

I wasn't here when the first two LBP came out so can someone tell me how was the franchise sales legs? is this the kind of game that don't sell that well at first but have good legs?

Usually terrible first weeks and good legs, with decent Holiday's boosts. They are normally bundled too.

Really, really good legs.

LBP sold more in 2014 than 2013 (328k -314k). If the first game is still tracked correctly, it may even reach 6 million eventually.

LBP 2 has also shown very strong legs, ~200k in 2014 with apparently incomplete EU data.

Between the 3 versions on PS3 it will sell over 10 million units.

14.6 million units so far and counting, for a new IP.

And we have to add LBP Vita that actually reached 1M with beastly legs.

OP did not ask your opinion about whether you like this game or not and he is just taking about LBP3 sales.

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.
