This news makes me happy. With the bugs worked out, this is a great game and a worthy sequel / expansion.

I have the first and second. Should I buy this one? How good is this?

Proudest Platinums - BF: Bad Company, Killzone 2 , Battlefield 3 and GTA4
| AstroGamer said: I wouldn't be surprised if this is being massively overestimated. I don't recall seeing the game in the UK top 40, nor in the top 5 in France or Germany for long enough to make up for that. The game only sold 100k in its first couple weeks in the US and it hasn't appeared in Amazon top 100 in December nor January to hint at it making up the 180k |
It's been high up the UK charts consistently. Haven't checked the others.

Then I guess Smash should be counted separately as well . . .
It deserves it. Just seriously got into it today and the platforming for Oddsock is amazing. Sackboy is tighter to control as well and the soundtrack is more varied as well as the story overall being more charming without forcing it as much as the first 2. It just ups the ante on an already great series. Obviously the creation tools have only gotten better as well and poppit academy is going to open the creation door for so many new creators (not me Imma still mooch off you dedicated people).
Surprising, but no reason to celebrate too much just yet. IIRC LBP is all about legs.
Soo good to see these gems sell. It's hard to see good games get forgotten(Bayonetta ect). Trust PS4 to sell your games.

The inclusion of three new characters really helps differentiate it from the previous two.
* Sackboy's platforming is tighter than ever, and he's got a handful of new tools to play with.
* Toggle plays similar to Sackboy, but instead of tools he can become tiny and fast, or large and able to break things - some weight-related shenanigans will come into play with him too.
* Oddsock almost plays like Sonic the Hedgehog, moving fast and running up walls, plus a wall jump for good measure.
* Swoop flies (about as fast as Mario swims in old 2D), but can move really fast in a downward swoop, leading to some tricky timing and obstacle evasion.
