Forums - Nintendo - Star Wars: Force Unleashed Wii is a port

This is what I call lazyness, they should have built the wii version from ground up, those graphics can look better than what I have seen from the ps2 version.

I'm guessing when factor 5's game comes we won't see shitty ports anymore.

@thekitchensink

If the controls are anything like Lego Star wars WII..they are crap

+ only 360/Ps3 versions have online multiplayer

also I mean the physics system & destructible stuff...as lucasarts has made the actual PS3/360 one while outsourced all other ones, most effort therefore we can assume has been put into the 360/Ps3 version..

 Which is saddening too that they are dissing the Wii version, cause it has possibilities to sell just as well as they do if the same effort is put into it.  3rd parties got to start understanding that putting time and effort into Wii games will have good outcomes.  It's just they don't do it and then complain that it doesn't sell.  I find that hypocritical.

Why is this surprising? They had DS and PSP versions announced before they finally announced the Wii version months later, and some people were expecting something other than a port? I could care less personally.

I'm just glad the Wii is getting it. I, personally, won't be buying any Star Wars games, unless they have KOTOR in them somewhere, but that's just me.

Either way, it'll be interesting to see the sales if these games launch at the same date.

Its easy to see the logic. If you create it on the PS2, which is less powerful, you don't have to do any work when you port it. If you create it on the Wii, you'll have to do extra work to port to PS2.

Either way, having the game on the Wii is better than not having it on the Wii.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

You're wrong. The PS3 and 360 versions have no multiplayer at all. The Wii version has an exclusive 2 person duel mode and 5 exclusive levels, none of which are found in the PS2, PS3, or 360 versions.

So yes, it's engine is a port of the PS2 engine, but it's got a bunch of stuff the PS2 and even PS3 and 360 versions don't.

@Zucas

I have ALWAYs said

We star wars fans are waiting for that Wii lightsaber game, we have waited for it for years & Lucasarts is THROWING AWAY cash by not making it..

A Wii lightsaber game will result in Sales that will go over 10 million

__________

So far SMG SHAMES EVERY wii game imo...

in every way, 3rd party's better buckle up,

Can we get a link to which version has the multiplayer? I thought it was the Wii's version... which I believe is also getting some extra levels. But I don't know.
