We'll never be able to make a real guess until we see the thing.

Handhelds can do well if they make something new and innovative that isnt a gimmick. If they try another gimmick or continue the DS line after the N3DS I expect a drop further in sales.

Nintendo will probably do a better job next time with the home console and will definitely sell better than the Wii U. I see it as a 2nd place console as long as they dont screw up again

I think that Nintendo might wait to release both handheld and console (maybe the fusion system), so the Wii U will be discontinued early and the 3DS has the N3DS to expand its lifespam. Sales of that system would depend of what kind of system is.

Because talking about how they are making another Mario game, ect, isn't showing anything beyond Nintendo making Nintendo games. They are funding mature rated games which show they are trying to branch out to other developers to make games that Nintendo themselves do not make on a regular basis.

You're showing me Nintendo is going to make Nintendo games, and I completely agree. Nintendo will continue to make Nintendo games, that's what makes Nintendo all their money. But there is an honest effort to reach out to the other communities of gamers, that should be accounted for too. The fact that they are actively putting their money where their mouth is to give us mature rated content IS a change for Nintendo.

How will ninty get 3 Rd partys back? If they are selling boat loads between the x1 PC and ps4 they might be content with that rather than adding another platform to their development teams 

Home consoles will be higher because I just can't believe they'll fuck twice in a row.

As for handhelds, I expect their next one to sell well, but less than the 3DS.

I predict there will be a Nintendo Family of products (Fusion concept) that plays the same games. Operation Nintendo Freedom lets the consumer choose their method of entertainment.

So combining HH, HC, tablets and possibly other variants, it could exceed 100 mil.

Hard to say before they have been unveiled. If I had to guess I would say next handheld will sell slightly less and next console sell slightly more.

Why even think about a next gen if the current has still a lot of life in it? The Wii U won't be replaced that soon. And the New 3DS isn't released even yet in the US.

Its software that matters. And Nintendo must deliver and excel in that regard. They are already on a good path - but still they need something to really impress and show what next-gen is all about.
