That list of subscription games is garbage imho.
At $20 a month they'd need to at least allow me to stream my digital PS3 games that I own. Otherwise no thanks.

From the Blog:
"Hi Zingakun,
This is a great question. PS Now offers both individual game rentals and the upcoming subscription service.
The PS Now rental catalog already has 200+ games and games are added weekly so yes, you may find some games that will not be in the current subscription offering but can still be rented individually.
Subscriptions will give you access to 100+ games that get unlimited access and this catalog will evolve over time.

It's even smaller than the list you have seen.
180 USD a year for such terrible list? No thanks. My vita should go back to the shelve collecting dust.

It's precisely why a new movie costs $20, while a new game costs $60. You pay more when you get more entertainment. Game rentals have always cost more than movie rentals (well, games vs movies, in general), because they have longevity beyond the 2 hours you spend watching a movie. Whether you go back to the 90s and look at Blockbuster, Hollywood Video, etc. or you look now with Redbox. So it's not really fair to compare PS Now to Netflix pricing and look at it in a bad light. Especially when, right now, it's cheaper than apples to apples alternatives (like Gamefly or OnLive) |
Yeah but my point was that i dont think sony should price it that high becuase i dont think people will even use it that much, especially with new ps4 games constantly coming out
Also i dont think it should be priced like netflix, but still slightly cheaper then what it is like atleast 14.99/34.99
| foodfather said: Laughable price point. $180 to play a bunch of old games that can be brought for anywhere bewteen $3 - $15 dollars.... Last year I brought a PS3 (£150) and spent around £80 on games including 3 months of PS+. I played around 28 games, mostly exclusives that it missed out on and sold it all for around £170 4 months later. The whole thing only cost me £60 - 70 in the end. |
$3-15 x 100 games (with more being added) = $300-1500.
Yea. Laughable.

Pretty shitty list of games so far. No Resistance, Uncharted, The Last Of Us, Demons Souls... They need to try harder.

BlazBlue's, Catherine, Darksiders, Dead Rising 2, Dead Space 3, Deus Ex, FFXIII, God of War: Ascension, Infamous, Just Cause 2, Mirror's Edge, ME2, Ractet & Clank's, RE5, Saint's Rows, USFIV, and many other high profile games available on Jan 13th.
Plus, UC, TLOU, etc were in the trailer, so they're obviously coming soon. And they'll continue adding games, without raising the price.
But they need to try harder? Some people are just impossible to please. Or, lemme guess: you just don't like any of the above mentioned games and they don't appeal to you. Which isn't impossible, and I can't knock you for your opinion. But damn, you're picky and have a narrow taste in games if you like none of them

Im never using it, so they dont need to please me... There are some good games on there, but its never a good sign when the company themselves arent putting their best games on a service...
Decent service, but Gamefly seems like a better purchase unless you prefer to juggle many games at once. I wish Sony would allow backwards compatibility via streaming but theres no money in free.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
