Link to the Past for me. I first played Wind Waker, then about a 1/3 of Twilight Princess, and loved both of them, so I decided to go back to the beginning. The first one turned me off at first, but I decided to stick with it, and by the 3rd dungeon I was hooked, and absolutely loved the rest of it. I got about halfway through the second before the difficulty and lack of exploration did me in. I loved a lot of things about it, but I could easy see the faults people generally find with it. I was so psyched to play LttP after that....
What a let down. I've gotten about 3/4 of the way through the game so far, I think, and I do really like the dungeons, but I'm not a fan of the overworld at all. The light/dark thing could have been cool, but I find it to be annoying in the way that it was done. Also, two things adventures games absolutely cannot have: puzzles that don't make sense, and progress-breaking issues. This game has both. If I'm forced to look things up in an adventure game, it ruins it for me, and that has unfortunately happened too much in this game. And it's not an issue with my not being used to "old school difficulty," either, since I got all the hearts in the original game and looked up basically nothing. I really want to like LttP, but I don't. I don't hate it, and I can appreciate some things about it, but it has definitely been a huge disappointment.
