Forums - Gaming - Eurogamer Reader's top 50 games of 2014 - Mario Kart 8 #1

How much do you agree with this list?

10 - 30% 19 22.89%

30 - 60% 17 20.48%

60 - 100% 46 55.42%

Total:82

MK 8 simply deserves to be at the top. There is hardly any other game out there giving that much fun to a such broad audience.

Not too bad. Not great either, but then again it's eurogamer; ie trash taste.

Its the reader's list.

Not like those have refined taste. I keep clear of communities like that.

Yeaa! Goo Mario Kart!

ground zeroes is great but it's a glorified demo.

Well it is bigger than MGS (the first one)... and the best MGS gameplay already showed to us.

If you are a MGS man you will have fun for 20 hours or more to finish all missions.

And all the mecanics and ways to play it is amazing.

$30? $40?

So I disagree

Eurogamer have forwarded above driveline. This is the gamers list not the magazine list.

Either way I bought a lot of games on that top 50 and I'm loving them all.

The magazine list.

1. Mario Kart 8
2. Destiny
3. Hearthstone
4. Bayonetta 2
5. Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls
6. Alien: Isolation
7. Dark Souls 2
8. Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes
9. Towerfall Ascension
10. Forza Horizon 2

I agree with the first and second places... Ground Zeroes deservers to be #3.

ground zeroes is great but it's a glorified demo.

It isn't even glorified. It's just a demo that you have to pay for. The demo for MGS2 (which came bundled for free with another game) was more substantial.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

MK8 not a deserving winner imo. Good game but stopped drawing me back after just a dozen hours

i am a mgs man and got all the trophies for ground zeroes plus i've platinumed mgs2 and mgs3hd plus completed them about 10 times each on ps2.

but the game is just one map with a decent bit of story wrapped around it. i paid the full price knowing that and i got my value for money. i still think it's a glorified demo but i was happy to support konami even if it was expensive.

Forza Horizon 2, Infamous: Second Son and Driveclub deserve higher positions
