Not too bad. Not great either, but then again it's eurogamer; ie trash taste.

Its the reader's list.

I can't believe that a port made top 10 -_-

I can't believe it wasn't number one.

if it was, then gaming journalism would reach new lows.

But these are community picks...

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Even worse.

Nice to see the readers still remember Infamous SS while Eurogamer constantly ignores that game's existence.

Btw for those complaining about install base... Why is Civilization beyond earth only at 48 with over 700 million PC gamers :p

So Destiny is higher than Shovel Knight, GTAV and Smash? Really?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Eurogamer have forwarded above driveline. This is the gamers list not the magazine list.

Either way I bought a lot of games on that top 50 and I'm loving them all.

The magazine list.

1. Mario Kart 8
2. Destiny
3. Hearthstone
4. Bayonetta 2
5. Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls
6. Alien: Isolation
7. Dark Souls 2
8. Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes
9. Towerfall Ascension
10. Forza Horizon 2

I agree with the first and second places... Ground Zeroes deservers to be #3.

ground zeroes is great but it's a glorified demo.

Without specifying which games, I do think it's worth noting that a game ranking higher on this list doesn't necessarily mean it's great. If a game was well-marketed and lots of people bought it based on hype, well, there's a psychological concept called post-purchase rationalisation. People will actually look for reasons to like something so they don't feel bad about spending money on it, and they can even become more polar in their opinions as a result.

YES NICE ONE MARIO KART 8 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone has different opinions. So we cant find that ' best game of the year or ever made '

And yes i agree - people dont want to spend their money and say its shit.

Pocky Lover Boy!

Decent list though I would get rid of all the remasters (or at least keep them out of top 10) and put Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare a lot higher than 42(!). I'm having a blast with it :D

2014 really was Nintendo's year (only DA: I and Shadow of Mordor could compete imo). 2015 is shaping up to be far better over all.
