Could be. (be prepared this isn't exactly apples to apples) Do you think Disney doesn't give a crap and that's why they put their movies "back in the vault" keeping the supply limited?  By the way if that is a strategy of Disney's we'll see how it pans out in the digital age but I digress.

Just went on amazon and searched up random disney movies, they are all cheap and in stock.  What do u mean?

Oh and for the record I'm not saying I think the OP is necessarily the case. Since I already tipped my hand to Rol, putting on the poker face now and pretending (for the sake of this discussion) that I believe the OP to be absolutely what is going on may be futile but... none the less away we go.

Haven't you ever heard people draw comparisons between the long lived companies of Nintendo and Disney? Sometimes the perception of a limited eddition helps to drive demand, and what better way to drive that kind of demand than to let your limit be a perception only... bear in mind I'm talking strictly about Disney here.

I have no problem with that.  Disney re-releasing their movies later under a limited edition title is no different than Nintendo re-releasing their games later with a different title such as Star Fox 64 3D or Wind Waker HD.  Companies can re-release their products 10 years down the line, I have no problem with that.  Pretty sure I've bought every Nintendo game that has done that.

I have no problem with it either. Typically though I personally don't warm to the remakes, the only one I can think of I have is WWHD and I only got that because I already had all the other free games available when I registered my 3DSXL and linked it to my Network ID durring that promotion. Granted I've heard mostly good things about it but it seems like I just played it and there are sooo many new games and my existing backlog and insert another excuse for not having played the remake yet...

Most amiibos are well stocked at retailers. Nintendo made sure that few Amiibos would have very limited stock in order to create some sort of artificial demand. I have no idea what they're doing with Gamecube adapters though.

There is no strategic shortage and if there was then it would be a stupid thing to do. Nintendo just didn't produce many gamecube adapters.
