Wow, Nintendo dominated the top 10. If only this was the same case for NA, or at least Europe.

15 of those 28 are PS3 games

So that's 13 next gen PS games and 22 next gen Nintendo games (No Wii or DS games at all)

So when talking Japanese gamers upgrading to next gen, it is obvious that most have choosen Nintendo, but also buy PS3 games as it has had about 8 years to build up an install base there, while Wii U and 3DS only had 2/3

There simply aren't that many interesting PS4 games in Japan yet. I expect PS4 to overtake Wii U in games in 2015. (MGS V, DQ Heroes, FF T-0 with FFXV Demo > Zelda U, Starfox U, Splatoon, XC X)

Japan's taste is boring, UK's is much better.
