David Wise did the music? Interesting...
"The console manufacturer wants to protect their brand and their name, and so they are much more rigorous and careful about what they let through."
Really? They allow shit like meme run through and hes saying they are much more rigorous and careful about what they let through to protect their brand name? Neh
But yea, makes sense the wiiU sales will be significantly less than iOS considering the install base. Heck, I didn't even know this game existed
PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850
I was very interested in this game until they delayed it. And it's also available for iOS for cheaper as well.
Still, I think they lost customers interest when they delayed it. Since they are done with Wii U, there's no need to support the game on the platform.
The eShop needs more promotion, that's why the iOS version could triumph. I personally didn't know it was already available.
However, there are some things that could stop people from buying Tengami. First, the game costs 8 dollars, and it only lasts a couple of hours. And it doesn't look exactly appealing. So a flop was inevitable, sad because Tengami looks like how an indie should look, not stuff like Meme Run.
My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.
The problem with releasing a game later on another plattform or region is that by the time it is released it is hard to care anymore since the hype is gone, I have experienced that with Shovel Knight, still haven't bought it because it wasn't released in Europe on WiiU until November

Anything related with Wii U needs promotion. Its not eshop only. But Nintendo doesnt promote Wii U.
I mean, they launched it first and cheaper on iOS. Moreover, it didn't exactly get glowing reviews or positive mention on its length for its large price.
Not sure what you'd expect...
I knew about this game since it was announced to be coming to the Wii U. I had zero interest in it. Even if I did, there's no way in hell I'm paying for a Wii U version when the iOS version is cheaper, and looks better due to a higher res screen. It looks like a 2D Journey when it comes to what it's goals are, but they didn't push it for success enough.
Also, they did a shit job advertising it. It's no surprise it didn't do well, but that's not Nintendo's fault. It's their own.
