Forums - Nintendo - Nyamyam says Tengami sales on Wii U “have been somewhat disappointing” - Basically tells Mr. whitehead Wii U is done for them

Their biggest mistake was having it launch the same day as Shovel Knight in Europe. If they had released it a week earlier or a week later they may have as much as doubled their sales in that territory.

What he also says is that they were basically forced to keep the iOS price that low.

Pretty mediocre, overpriced but nice looking game. Wouldn't expect great sales this way. :p

A game by former Rare employees? Must buy! Wait, only on Wii U AND iOS? Damn it!

Bet with Xander XT:

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531

Me!

Is this game on PSVita? If not I don't know what made them think Wii U would be the most profitable platform to tackle

Unfortunately, not everything in life is a success. Such is life

The game will come to Steam as well. Not hard to predict that you can get it there for 1 €/$ soon after release.

Even easier to predict that they will never openly complain about missed revenue on the two most important platforms for indie developers (Steam and iOS), only about "disappointing sales" on Wii U.

By the way: Make your iOS game look good and it will get ton of praise by gaming media and free App store advertisement by Apple, no matter how deep the gameplay or short the game.

Really? They allow shit like meme run through and hes saying they are much more rigorous and careful about what they let through to protect their brand name? Neh

What do you mean? :/ Meme run is an amazing game.

I got it on WiiU. It looked interesting and I don't game on mobile in general.

Looked pretty lackluster.
