Square Enix, duh.

You should read the rest of the posts. Square-Enix would push what is great about the series (religion and philosophy) to the background for a love story. They couldn't handle the story of a Xeno game.

I'm sure they could but i'm not so sure if todays average gamer could handle xenogears/saga -like storyconcepts. for example a xenogears current gen reboot would could sure cost a lot to develop. >20 million copies sold at a 60$ pricepoint to be profitable would not suprise me. question is: will you get that many buyers?

Who would be stupid enough to require a game to sell above 20 million copies to be profitable?

ok, then tell me how and where to cut cost and still wow people?

Are you even serious right now? They can wow people without spending 1.2 Billion dollars on a game.

There were already other summoners, there were no others that could control the Monado. Now you're just reaching.

Shulk couldn't control it anyway without Zanza choosing him.  It wasn't his brith right or anything...I'm just using your logic.

And you're confused in my point, I'm not just saying that if the developers didn't create Yuna, they would have created someone different. I'm saying in the game, there are other summoners there to bannish Sin. In Xenoblade Dunban and Shulk were the only two that could use the Monado. If Yuna died there were others, if Shulk died they would have been screwed.

Ya your saying any summoner could have done what Yuna did, any brave hom could have been chosen by Zanza, there is literally ntn special about Shulk, he's just a normal everyday hom.  Shulk can only wield the Monado with Zanza's help, if Zanza choose someone else Shulk would be a nobody.

There comes a point in the game where Zanza would have no need or reason to do that, it would go against his plans. That's not the case in FFX.

Which is also assuming Zanza would have time to create another in his image and have them be able to come of an age to use the Monado before Bionis was wiped out by the Mechon. It isn't a simple point of the finger and someone else could use  the Monado.

ok then, give me a number. destiny supposedly cost 0.5 billion and that game had "no" story and it was mere FPS.

Destiny did cost 0.5 billion. Which to my knowledge is the highest a game has costed. Games typically only need 1-2 million to make a profit, and even that his pushing it. To remake Xenogears today, at most you would only need to sell 2.5 million to profit. At most.

Ya and I'm sure the world of FFX would have survived forever with Sin destroying it.

I would get Bioware to make the sequel for Xenosaga ...

Those guys are the new gods of RPGs so it would be grand to see what they could come up with ...

so in your eyes a xenogears current gen reboot should not cost more than a last gen gta 5 (~ 250m)?

There were other summoners already making the pilgramage to bannish Sin.
