LOL do you relaize everyone needs a pc? how you can you can work, search for work and do other stuff without a PC? There was PC gaming before steam. Steam is a program look how the steam machine flopped when they tried to sell steam as consoles. WiiUs majority of games are singleplayer experiences.

But not every PC needs a discrete graphic card, office PCs and laptops work fine with the GPU on board or the Intel HD integrated in the CPU.
Over 10 million Add-in boards (graphic cards) are sold each quarter, so 40 - 50 million each year: http://www.anandtech.com/show/8446/the-state-of-pc-graphics-sales-q2-2014

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make? Intel HD Graphics is the most popular GPU on Steam after all. http://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey You don't need a dicrete gpu to use Steam.

You don't need a discrete gpu to use Steam, but it helps in more demanding games. And of course Intel HD Graphics is the most popular GPU on Steam... Intel-CPUs are way more popular than AMD-CPUs and every integrated GPU-unit gets counted in the Steam statistics, even if it ain't used! If you have an Intel CPU with integrated GPU and a graphic card, both are counted.
And my point? Ruler wrote that the Wii U is more popular than PC gaming. Which is ridiculous when 8 million Wii U consoles are sold in two years and in the same time frame 80 - 100 million discrete graphic cards are sold... most of them are used for gaming.
