For You maybe, its not a shit year at all. Probably thinking its shit because...

1. Comparing it to 2013 which imo is the one of the best years ever for a Nintendo HH (which says alot there)

2. The games that did come out im guessing you weren't interested in, but others definitely were^

3. Not as many Big IPs as last year, but still had a couple of good ones, especially Japan that had a good year. (DQ Spin off/YW2/YW2.5/FFE/etc)

Also 3ds actually sold very well this year considering what games came out and its in its 4th year already (with Mobile/Tablets/etc even worse than it ever was before hurting the market)

Yeap^ Also i think 65mil+ is a giving at least. Looking at it, by years end 3DS should be in the realm of 49mil-52mil 3DS shipped. That said 3DS will still be selling for another 3 years...

My estimates

2015: 8mil-9mil Shipped ⇒ Should Decline a little if not be about flat year over year because of the West (N3DS)

2016: 5mil-6mil Shipped ⇒ Will Decline, but not be dead!!!

2017: 2mil-4mil Shipped ⇒ New HH imo will launch here, 

2018-2019: 1mil-2mil Shipped 

3DS is still chugging along at a very smooth pace. It could have been better but, for what it had it did amazing I would say.
