Forums - Gaming - PlayStation Now coming to Samsung Smart TVs next year

Aaaannndddd that's the news I've been waiting for. Next will be PSVue, and if they're smart, more TV makers.

If Sony gets this to a point where anyone buying a Samsung, Sony, LG, or Vizio TV can play their games and watch their tv, both services could be huge. Especially Vue.

Yep, they'll offer a full suite of Apps and then sit back and watch the money roll in. 3rd party publishers will be loving it too. They can put anything they like on PSNow. The games they offer don't even have to have to be PS branded. We could well see PC games or even Dreamcast games on the service too. They HAVE spoken of the possibility in the past and I'm pretty sure they'll have been busy trying to strike deals.

I doubt it. There are still many things you cant get on PS Now and never will be able to get...

I'm getting really confused. What are you not seeing here? You only see you can't get many things on PSNow because you are a gamer and know what's available. This a mass market service that untethers the PS brand and allows it to be accessed by an audience of Billions (not millions). They don't care what's NOT there, they just care what IS there. And don't think for one minute that this service won't eventually start offering PS4 games.

But will every device come with a Dual Shock controller or...? Non gamers would probably find it very intimidating as well with all those buttons.

Casual gamers would just buy one console and play it once in a while.

Im just not sure who this service is meant to cater to...

thats casue you trying hard not to.

EVERY freaking BODY thats who.

Just wait for the articles. I'm sure they'll suddenly realise at some point and inform 'gamers' on the internet.

No, Im trying hard to see why this will be an instant success and will make consoles and the PC obsolete...

It's not difficult to understand ... it really isn't. From a market of 2m - 3m to a market of Billions. If you can't see who it's for there's something wrong.

Its console games with out the need for a console.  Its pc quality games with out having to be a pc nerd to play them.

Easy of use, low cost to get in.  Easy of accesability.  Pretty freaking basic.
