People don't realize that it's the rest of Sony's products that are really getting tarnished, PS4 is selling great but the loses just from it's cell phone bizz wiped out all of the profits. Sony lost me a long time ago with not backing multiple products.

Sony is cowardly. People who are claiming they did the right thing for business are still using an excuse to justify a cowardly action.

Yeah, what they should have done is release the movie and if something did happen and people died they could confidently tell the relatives of those dead people 'we did the right thing.' I'm sure there wouldn't have been any backlash whatsoever. Risking the deaths of civilians because of political thinking is FAR more preferable to getting backlash from not taking that risk. The COWARDS!

"Go AMERICA!"

Why should Sony get blamed for the deaths though? If they released the fucking movie like they planned and YOU decided to go despite knowing there might be some ridiculously low chance of you dying, why should it not be your fault for choosing to go? Don't point the finger at Sony. You made a conscious decision and it's on you if something happens to you. I'm so sick of everyone acting like Sony would have to take responsibility for the deaths.

If only it were that simple. Have you not seen how ridiculous lawsuits are nowadays? The things that make it to court are nothing short of ridiculous. Even if Sony were to win every case, they'd still lose tons of money in the process. It would also be PR nightmare for the company. And don't forget how the media likes to twist things to create a story. I can guarantee that FOX news would rip Sony to shreds (apart from Obama) and, unfortunately, they would influence a lot of people. Sony is in a lose-lose situation here. Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

If it weren't for the PS4's success, Sony might be dead as a company right about now.

I thought losing money for almost a decade already did? I guess I was wrong. lol! xD

That's incorrect. Playstation is a small division for Sony and its not even that profitable. The most profitable divisions are the financial services, Sony pictures, and music divisions.

On the bright side at least this is a distraction from their being the company behind the Vita.

Except that nobody has heard of the Vita anyway. :P

Sorry if I didn't make myself clear... I was answering POE would asked this: "It´s incredible how people still defends and support this company."

My aswer was that Sony have a very efficient marketing, so lot of people fall into their propaganda.

The hacking was not marketing, that's for sure, anyone who thinks that is crazy!

US politics are not the topic of discussion.

you brought politics into this when you called north korea a totalitarian state... my point is that america is speeding rapidly down the path towards an even more oppressive government

"Yes, a regime where power is inherited by the son and the son remains in power 'til his death. The people of North Korea have no say in the matter."

lol i had to go back to address this gem... i suppose anyone can become president in north america right? and the presidents themselves are not just puppets pushing the same agenda right?

i suppose that's why obama came in under the pretense of ending the conflicts in the middle east and yet they continue to this day right?

oh forget it your vote can change things at the end of the day lol

lol people are so naive its hilarious

And where the US is headed politically has nothing to do with whether or not North Korea hacked Sony.

That's right: anyone can run for the presidency and there are term limits in the US so Obama can't run a third time. Kim Jong Un is in for life now that his daddy has passed away.

I know, Obama should just wave his magic wand and make the tumultuous history and ethno-sectarian violence of the Middle East end.

Yeah. The problem is not enough people vote in general.

You're a prime example; trusting North Korea's word so quickly is evidence of this.
