Sony is cowardly. People who are claiming they did the right thing for business are still using an excuse to justify a cowardly action.

Yeah, what they should have done is release the movie and if something did happen and people died they could confidently tell the relatives of those dead people 'we did the right thing.' I'm sure there wouldn't have been any backlash whatsoever. Risking the deaths of civilians because of political thinking is FAR more preferable to getting backlash from not taking that risk. The COWARDS!

"Go AMERICA!"

Why should Sony get blamed for the deaths though? If they released the fucking movie like they planned and YOU decided to go despite knowing there might be some ridiculously low chance of you dying, why should it not be your fault for choosing to go? Don't point the finger at Sony. You made a conscious decision and it's on you if something happens to you. I'm so sick of everyone acting like Sony would have to take responsibility for the deaths.

If only it were that simple. Have you not seen how ridiculous lawsuits are nowadays? The things that make it to court are nothing short of ridiculous. Even if Sony were to win every case, they'd still lose tons of money in the process. It would also be PR nightmare for the company. And don't forget how the media likes to twist things to create a story. I can guarantee that FOX news would rip Sony to shreds (apart from Obama) and, unfortunately, they would influence a lot of people. Sony is in a lose-lose situation here. Damned if they do, damned if they don't.
