The fun thing about Metroid is it could be done in a variety of ways, preferably just not like Other M.

Naturally, it was influenced by Aliens and Metroid could be approached more like a action based horror film, or it could take its cues from the original Alien and be a lot more like a sci-fi survival psychological horror genre film that played off the limited/recovered resources in darkened, confined and deserted spaces theme.

They could cover the themes of off world colonialism, interstellar travel, human gene/cybernetic modification/enhancement, etc. A lot of fun could be had exploring the options based upon themes addressed in the Metroid franchise.

I would love to see a Fire Emblem movie, especially the story of Ike in Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn. A Metroid movie would be cool, too.

My initial thought seems to be reflected in the polls with most votes currently going to Metriod, but after some thought, there isn't much of a way to translate the original games in such and adding too much story leads to Other M style foolishness with Samus' character.

Legend of Zelda can be the fairy tale style fantasy story or Fire Emblem if want a more gritty, violent or something closer to Game of Thrones story.

I agree with ya about metroid. I think that it has the best chance to be a successful full length feature film out of those. It has the most broad appeal out of 'em to movie goers.

Definitely Fire Emblem. If done right, I imagine this could be an awesome feature length. They've got more than enough material to work with after all.
