Not trying to be funny but what does that have to do with his post?

If Nintendo made more than Sony whilst being totally destroyed in sales, then surely they would make even less by going 3rd party?, as they would have to pay royalties to Sony per game sold. Basically i was trying to say that Nintendo would be worse off going 3rd party, i dont think they would sell that many more games than they are at present.

Ahhhh okay I got you. Well why I don't agree that NIN should go 3rd party, but them making more money than Sony last quarter should not be used as the reason imo. I mean the potential consumer base by going 3rd party could bold well and make them even more money via software sales while completely eliminating the cost of hardware.

Some good points there buddy, but i believe that Nintendo having 100% control of their IP, publishing rights etc and the creative freedom of their own hardware (which has mostly been profitable over the years) will always be more financially viable to them than just selling software on other devices. They have a very sustainable business model that even during tougher market climates (Wii U/3DS- Gamecube/GBA) they can still make money. Take Amiibo for example, they are set to make good revenue on those and that is all made possible by being tied in to their unique hardware and innovative controller.

No argument from me there as I don't agree that they should go 3rd party. I was just wondering why you had brought profits up that's all. But I agree with what you said though!

I often get fed up of the calls for Nintendo to go 3rd party, i guess i countered a dumb comment with a dumb comment :)

Japan is where Wii U is falling. And by a lot!
According to Famitsu, last year it did 74K and this year it did 25K or more.

The great holiday title was bought on the handheld. :(

Wii U is doing better in Europe and in the US, but it's not enough to cover Japan's low numbers as it hasn't grown substantially despite MK8, Smash and a better library than last year.

All I can say is, I'm European, and I'm waiting for the PS4 Slim.
There will be riots in the streets. Women and children crying.

Why wait, it's a slim already.

Actually you make an interesting point there. If it turns out that the slim doesn't look as good as the regular PS4, I might just get a regular one instead.

I'm mainly waiting for more games that I like to arrive, and so having a price drop and a new model is a bonus.

gonna change my buy date to around uncharted  release because Thats why I got ps3

Looks like the X1 price reduction is starting to wear off which means MS really are gonna be screwed next year unless they make that price drop permanent and bring it over to Europe. Lol I wonder how many children will be mad at Christmas when they open their present and find a X1 instead of a PS4 which their parents bought for them cause it was cheaper and they don't know anything about gaming thinking its the same thing as a PS4 but cheaper.

I ain't say its loads but I am saying there will be a few children disappointed like that.

EDIT: I have to add that it is dangerous giving a consol a temporary price reduction to boost sales because smart people will wait to buy the X1 after January when the full price returns as they know MS will reduce the price yet again so they'll wait for that sale which might take away sales for MS from January. Think about it. If I was going to buy an X1 next year after hearing about this years price reduction then I would wait until CHRISTMAS next year when I could but it cheaper with a few free games. How many here would do the same??/
