Forums - Nintendo - Will big worlds be a standard in future Zelda games ?

big or not too big that is the question ..

size doesnt matter 17 22.97%

its all in the technique 12 16.22%

yes 29 39.19%

no 8 10.81%

dont know 1 1.35%

dont care 4 5.41%

7 time the size lol 0 0%

8 time the size..you are nuts. 3 4.05%

Total:74

We already know a lot about the new Zelda U game and we know for a fact that its going to be multiple times bigger than Twilight Princess..I say around 7 to 8 times the size of TP from what I saw.. but theres also Skyword Sword and its surprisingly small in size.

so my guess is that the middle area of the map surrounded by water is roughly the size of TP.

E3 trailer takes place in the middle area of the map

most games these days are trying to be massive in size...what do you think.. will it be standard in future Zelda games ? does Nintendo need a big Zelda for their sake ?

No cos handheld games.

Depends on how good or bad it does

I hope big is the new standard! I also want bigger worlds on handheld games. As long as they manage to fill the worlds with things to do...

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

That's not Nintendo's style. They give something new and they take something away so that all of their releases feel unique. There were a lot of great new things in Skyward Sword that won't make it to this title, and this title will have a lot of great stuff that won't make it to the next one. My guess is that this will be the "open world Zelda" and the next will have a smaller world with a different draw.

I hope so, at least for the console releases. If it works out here, I see them sticking with the formula.

I'd comment after playing Zelda HD. We need to see if it really fits into the Zelda 3D formula.

Not necessarily this big, but I am glad that they are making one just now.

For console Zelda games, sure! It would be awesome!

I hope so but looking at its success tells us nothing seeing as how other Zelda games have changed direction even when really successful
