Yeah, Steam sounds like the hoarder-oriented crap it is.

What??

Aren't you tired of all those sales and their continued devaluing of the games? It all trinkles down, devaluing the quality and the experience in the end, makes devs go dog eat dog to get people to buy their product. And it's getting worse and worse.

Oh and Gabe allowing Hatred to be put on the store ticked me off, hence the expletive in the previous post.

Wait, this game was released on Wii? That's quite silly.

He basically did it as a labor of love. He didn't expect to make any money on it, but since the game was based mostly on old NES games he announced a Wii version way back when (before any other versions, if I remember correctly), and he followed through on it.

Interesting read!

I'd like to see something similar for other digital games like Child of Light. That game's also on WiiU, which would have been interesting to have info on. Good to see both 3DS and Vita are such healthy platforms for these kinds of games.

Why would I be tired of the sales? *I* benefit. The consumer benefits. The devs also benefit as sales increase their sales a lot (revenue and copies sold).

Hatred has every right to be available on Steam. Manhunt is there ffs, so why not Hatred?

Actually, the Ethan: Meteor Hunter provided a very interesting sales analysis of this (more copies sold on Steam; but much more revenue from PS3).

Haven't seen if there's a thread about it yet but if not, I'll post it, but it does give an interesting insight into the hording nature of PC gaming, indeed.
