I don't follow. I certainly disagree with your suggestion that Nintendo doesn't have a legacy of third-party support strong enough to create a promotional image like this. Many of the characters used in this picture actually have appeared (or even debuted) on Nintendo systems. But I've no objection to the general consensus that the use of the Mega Man pic is a non-issue.

It's just an interesting detail, it's not as if I'm saying that this is the reason Sony is winning the console warsor anything.

well how else would they celebrate their 20th anniversary? we all know sony always copies nintendo, they are just doing it in this pic as well, tradition is tradition.

Sony copying Nintendo isn't newsworthy. It's been happening for a while now.

The Mega Man thing is more funny than anything.

I do however find it irksome that Sony's character collage includes a lot of characters whose games have not been exclusive to the company. I think they could have focused on characters from Sony-exclusive games and created something more focused and meaningful.

I thought they used Nintendo characters :P

I took a look at the article, one of the Animaniacs are there as well. Guess they didn't draw that either. They should be sued for all the money they made for 20 years.
