Ah I see you added an extra bit to the OP. Still makes no sense to call them lazy over this though. Choosing the Smash picture over a non Smash picture takes the same effort as vice versa. They chose the Smash one cause it's the best one.

Well, read the 2nd sentence. How do we know CAPCOM didn't send them the same pic that they had for Smash Bros? Sony doesn't own Megaman so they would've had to ask for permission in the 1st place.

Excuse sony for having characters that have been on the playstation platforman for over the last 20 years.
The version of characters does not really matter. If anything people need to stop whining and open up to the fact that sony is thr market leader and is showing people characters that they may not have ever seen.

"Megaman Art in Smash Bros used in anniversary picture of Sony"
I was thinking it was similar to Sunset Overdrives font fiasco last month but your thread title really knocks off that one. Worst of all is when people dont see the linked image they may end up assuming its the whole smash bros art (which is weird)
Whats most weird is you find them using a third party character art that was also on the PS platform lazy....

Let me know when a character model of a multi plat game modeled by Sony appears in Nintendo promo art.
Nintendo created that model and design. I mean this is the same Sony that used Zelda music at a PS3 launch event.
