The Wii U disc drive is actually fairly loud. At least mine is, it's the loudest drive of the three new consoles I find.

no its not, the wii U is clearly overpriced. It should at least cost the same like the ps3
| yvanjean said: What we need in redesign: 1. Quietter consoles. Platinum color WiiU for $250 featuring wisper quiet console with faster loadings time, 250 GB HD and WiiU controller Pro (gamepad sold separately). |
1. Quietter? Never noticed the Wii U's noise.
2. As long as it don't increase price, otherwise I'm fine buying external. I got a 3 tb hd for like $50. I don't need Nintendo putting in 100 gb and charging $50.
3. You sir are an idiot
4. Power brick reduces heat, which helps prevent hardware failure and also keeps Wii u's size small. Why complain about a brick hidden behind somewhere?
5. No thanks, just increase costs while giving me nothing. Everything else has a blu ray already.
6. I'm all game for this. Be like the New 3DS, except have ZERO exclusive. No need to seperate bases. But would love faster load times. Some games like Lego City were unbearable
7. Pretty much is under $250 or even less anyway already. You get it for $300 and 2 games it seems these days. Any consumer who sees a console with zero games bundles for $250 and thinks its better is an idiot. People seem to be able to afford PS4's and One's, so the price is not too high. People just are apparanlty too dumb to see the bundles GAMES
8. Whatever to colors. don't really think a consoles color adds that many sales ever.

It's not gamepadless, Gamepad just sold separately. Nintendo themself don't know how to incorporate the gamepad to make good video games. The gamepad is a failure, only five games come to mind that really use it NintendoLand, ZombiU, scribblenauts, Game & wario and Wii Party U. When super smash and mario kart 8 failled to really use the gamepad that's when you know it's useless fisher price add-on. I'm sure Zelda U will use it but there will be WiiU controller Pro control option. |
What would be the point really? Not only would it throw off the developement of current games but it also wouldn't make much of a difference in the console price.
I think a cooler slicker looking gamepad design would help. Its blobby design looks a little fisher price and that will be off putting for some. There could also be some refinements to the ergonomics, especially to the shoulder buttons.

haha at first It sounded like they should focus on pornographic aldult game:) That would boost sales.
But, I disagree they need to be all inclusive and really focus on indie like PS4 is doing. Make it more profitable and attractive to port game to WiiU.
Aldult 1st party game would hurt sales even more, Stick to everyone and Teen. Beside what ever WiiU can do Xbone and PS4 can do better. Focus on niche markets.

Well, the thing is, the few games that do require the gamepad would still have to be considered, specially if Nintendo has future projects that are already in development, like starfox, kirby and splatoon, that will use the gamepad so that is a bad idea. Specially Kirby, u can't play that game without the gamepad period... And not to mention, you have games like Smash Bros with its custom stages and photomode that use the gamepad
And look at all the hate that the n3ds has been getting. Heck there have been many threads that asked the question, if you want the samething with the wiiU and most people said no and for good reasons too

I hope people realize that there is no such thing as no power brick, only built in power brick.
