That is a really poor result for the Wii U.  The Gamecube in its third November (Mario Kart release month) sold more than triple that.  In fact, that is worse than any November for the Gamecube until 2006 when the Wii came out.

Wow just checked, Gamecube sold 750k in November 2003 (the equivalent November month for Wii U's Nov 2014).

So 750k vs. 240k ... yeah I don't think Wii U is catching GameCube. And yes I realize the GCN was $99.99 that holiday, but no one's forcing Nintendo to stick with the GamePad and keep the Wii U at $299.99.

Wii U will finish with like 16-18 million LTD I suspect.

I don't know if you've been here the last 6 weeks or so, but the common consensus was that the X1 would take November due to the 349 price tag and that it would take it comfortably . Worldwide people agree that the PS4 would be ahead, not NA.


still a whole lot of people on VGC said otherwise.

If the ps4 really only lost the month by 7-10k then I'd say that's a boon for sony overall, given the lengths microsoft went to undercut them for the holiday season.

Tha vast majority thought X1 would easily win by a good margin.
