It beat Halo MCC where it mattered the most: SSBros WiiU 92 meta, Halo MCC 86 meta.

Anyway, Smash will sooner or later beat Halo MCC worlwide cuz it has longer legs, but Halo 5 will smash smash (See what I did there? :D)

Yeah Smash Bros on Wii U is basically  an HD remake of the 3DS version. Great game,but same thing essentially 

I don´t agree, Nintendo had to make a 35 minutes video to explain the 50 differences with both versions, Smash for WiiU is so much bigger in everything, the 3ds version has a 85 in metacritic and wiiU a 92, and it´s so hard to reach that score.

Good numbers still^ I guess the online hurt its 2nd/3rd week legs. Looking at this, i think 2mil Lifetime (1.5mil being US)

I think there are more differences and much bigger in SSBU to SSB 3DS than MK7 to MK8 for example :)

Well done SSB. Despite the smaller install base it outsold a Halo game. Ninty will take some pride in this.
