Ths is japan, 3ds>>>wii in installbase. 3ds has 17mil+, wii had 12mil

Yeah. The 3DS has some insane attatch rates. Might have to do with the lack of easy piracy.

I don't think piracy plays a big role here. I think this shows more than anything else that 3DS is incorporation of Nintendos comeback to the hardcore-strategy after the blue ocean experiment with Wii/DS.


I don't know. I think it had some influence on DS sales.

Not being able to play the new Pokémon game on an emulator kinda convinced me to buy one lol... I never pirated games except Pokémon games. So now I decided to buy the remake of Ruby/Saphire to attone for my past misdeads. :D

Though I discovered I don't care much for Pokémon anymore, I see my 3DS now as a Zelda machine. OoT remake, a Link between Worlds and Majora's mask remake! Awesome. 

I'm still waiting to buy Luigi's Mansion, but I want to know what Next Level is working on before I buy it... They might be making a Luigi's Mansion for the Wii U you know! I hope so at least.

I think just a vague 2015 release, maybe sometime in the summer. Codename Steam, Majora's Mask 3D & Monster Hunter 4 are all slated for spring I believe.
