Great news and i hope this thread to get a lot views because otherwise I will start thinking that most people watch only the negative or biased against Nintendo news.:P

but people on the internet do. the internet thrives on negative nintendo news!

Or as I always put it, "Show us on this doll where Nintendo touched you."

Good for Nintendo.

I really wish Nintendo could do small scale projects on Mobile. That would generate a good revenue, to keep their business strong.

Something like Coin Crush.

Yeah something like that would "make sense" but Nintendo has their hands full already and can't keep up so they gotta bring in outside help to develop some of their own games on their own system. Don't see it making much sense to do something like this. There are so many classic Nintendo games which if they would remake them and put them on wiiu it would be instaprofits like Metroid Prime or Mario Galaxy ect. And Nintendo is going to be hugely profitable overall this generation based on what they are already doing perhaps companies like Microsoft need more advise on how to turn profit on gaming.

1 BILLION IN USA AMIIBOS? WOW! THAT'S ALREADY MORE THAN MOST MOVIES!

Funny how they are only raising profit estimates and not sales estimates. As someone already mentioned this is mostly Yen driven.

Did you miss the part where Nintendo's Wii U sales are up and the Amiibo business is doing well?

Yes, Yen will play it's hand, but your downplay only half works.

I was about to tell that but i was afraid to use the word downplay!Train wreck ninpie spoke,he is right and you know that he isn't used to defend wii u.:P

I did not miss it because Nintendo sales are not up as of their last earning statement.  Did you miss the part where Nintendo is only forcasting that information (as in it hasn't happened yet)?  You're writing as if thats affirmative but their fiscal year ends March 31 so that billion dollar amount is not definite.

Nintendo will post profits because of this.

so, why Sony can't profit?

OP: $1 BILLION from Amiibo? Holy Fuck!

Early reports of Amiibo show that it is doing well. I was not going off their forecasts. However, if we were to go off their forecast, then we can estimate a lower outcome because Nintendo sucks at predicting recently, but that's still amazing. Amiibo, if you like them or not, are being bought and Nintendo is making money off of them. The analysts list that as one of their reasons for upgrading their rating. Simple.

Sony should be positively affected by this as well, but they have other problems.
