Forums - Nintendo - Is this the start of Nintendo dropping Bombs at Non E3 or Directs?

They said they would show zelda at e3 2015

instead they showed it at the game awards a week later

so will this be the start of nintendo dropping bombs at non nintendo events

like sony and microsoft?

I'm not sure I would call it a bomb. In that case, PSX had like 5 "bombs".

First of all, new footage of a previously-announced game is not really a bomb. The Zelda footage, while very nice, didn't tell us anything Earth-shattering about the game that we didn't already know.

Second, this is the start of lots of companies dropping news at the Game Awards. It is not an indication that Nintendo will do so on other occasions.

Not really although it was awesome to see none the less

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

They've shown stuff at the VGAs before. It's nothing new for them.

Certainly a better reveal than Cranky Kong though.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

They probably did it because of the show.
It was something new and showing new footage is a always a nice support for the show and great for Nintendo that basically had no competition.

It was awesome. Maybe they are testing the waters, outside traditional means of announcing things..

I wouldn't consider the Zelda footage "bomb", but I do get what you're saying! It's nice to see that Nintendo did such a reveal outside E3 and Nintendo Directs!
