Forums - Sony - I'm convinced it's impossible to deliver impressive graphics today

dane007 said:
@kyuu the initial reveal said that footage was captured from level on ps4 running in real time. they defended it on twitter as well. What was shown at the intial reveal was CGI claiemd to be real time graphics. What was shown now is jsut a normal ps4 game with nice graphics. What they said and defended to what was shown is lie , no matter how you twist it. What was shown won't dramatically increase to that level in a few months or in a years time. They would have to pull a miracle to acheive that level of graphics.

It was running in real time. That section shown off might have been a cut-scene, but it was running on a PS4..a nd not a CGI render.

If you haven't seen this video. NXGamer explains why.

Edit - Can't embed video, nor can I add it via the old html code. Thanks Youtube >_>

@zekkyou -- i respect your opinion. For me when i saw the initial trailer, i was wowed as it look real life. When i saw this new gameplay triler, i wa sliek oh it looks nice . But that wow factor was there. Secondly the hair in the inital looked real whereas the one shown its not as realisitc as what was shown. you see its bent liek tis plastic and not smooth at all.

Well, we'll have to agree to disagree. The original cut scene will likely be in the final game too, so we can wait and see what happens ^^

Yes, but too be honest, Uncharted 4 looks visually just as stunning as Far Cry 4, nothing we haven't seen yet.

LOL it looks leagues better than FC4 on PS4.  Maxed out on PC Uncharted 4 still has FAR better character models/animations, better lighting, and it doesn't stutter to high hell.

There is no 'maxed out Uncharted' as the PS4 version is the only version. And the frame rate did dip a few times.

@zekkyou --- yep will wait till the next e3 to see what it look liek when it finally released end of next year. @hinch -- i definetely did. soon i heard there was a video , i jump straight to watch it on youtube at work :)

It doesn't. Watch the uncompressed video from Gamersyde. No stutter or frame drops like on the stream. And it looks MUCH better on there too. I'll post some screenshots of it when I can.

Well, there are actually a decent number of games out right now or coming soon that look as good or better than UC4. People were so freaking hyped thinking that it would totally blow every other game out of the water for months and years to come; it's no surprise they're disappointed.

It's a damn good looking game, though.

I watched the Playstation vid on youtube. While that compresses the vid, it doesn't explain why I did see some small instances of framedrop.

Cool :) Its quite interesting. Makes me admire the attention to detail some devs put into their games.

Thats probably just the capture from the event (stream). The game looks smooth enough on a direct capture.

The game probably has another 10 -11 months before it comes out, ND said it was running 1080p 30fps at pre-alpha. People really show their amateurity specially with premier footage
