Forums - Gaming - 2015 could be the best year in fighting game history

Your most anticipated fighting game?

Street Fighter V 40 32.00%

Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 13 10.40%

Tekken 7 36 28.80%

Mortal Kombat X 36 28.80%

Total:125

Did they say that Street Fighter V was coming out next year? I don't remember that.

Only one that really interests me is Dragon Ball, got bored of MK and won't be touching GG Xrd until it touches PC or other platforms and I don't see why I should bother with SF since Capcom pulled recent crap making a multiplat exclusive and even then they are known for making ridiculous versions and charging them full price.

Not really a great year for fighters if you ask me.

GG Xrd is coming out this year anyway and it doesn't matter if a fighter is exclusive or not, it only has to be good.

All we need is a Naruto Fighting game and I'm all set

We have Street Fighter V, Mortal Kombat X, Dragon Ball: Xenoverse and Tekken 7 coming out next year. If that doesn't make a year the biggest for the genre, I don't know what does. This is surprising especially after how fighting games have declined in sales.

I'm looking forward to all those except DB.

People still play DBZ?

If they didn't they won't be making another one.

But you know the developers behind DB: Xenoverse are Dimps, who also developed SF IV? And Akira Toriyami is himself writing various alternate endings and paths depending on your battles right? I guess you didn't, otherwise you would have been excited too, if you're a DBZ fan.

I don't know if we'll see SFV this year, because development seems to have started this year.

Also, I think 2012 was waaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2
Persona 4 Arena
Soul Calibut 5
Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition: v2012 (free update)
Dead or Alive 5
BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma
Street Fighter X Tekken
Skullgirls
Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale
Mortal Combat: Arcade Collection

And that's not counting the Dragonball or Naruto fighting games.

All of them except Soul Calibur V were either disappointing or terrible while SSF IV AE cannot be considered a new game.

Good to who?, a game is only good to those that buy it and want it, I want it, I want to play it but I'm not grabbing a PS4 for it when we've had Blaz Blue on PC before, it's pretty bad form to limit your audience and PC has one of the biggest audiences out there.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

even though Street Fighter is a bigger deal, im more hyped for Tekken 7

You can get a PS3 for cheap and GG Xrd is also coming to it and it has many other very good games too.

Yeah I know PC has a very huge userbase but that doesn't help when most PC gamers pirate games or buy them at very low prices so the developers barely gain any profit from it. Also it could be that the last BlazBlue game didn't sell well on PC.

Me too, I personally prefer 3D fighters over 2D fighters. But I prefer DB: Xenoverse over all of them
