maybe because of the out of stock white destiny bundle
the plain ps4 is now the only (right now) available ps4 form amazon.com

seems like both sony and ms are on full stock clearance this holiday season.
smells like new bundles or skus for q1

People still buy the destiny bundle? Ha. I think it's because of the free game deal.

that free game deal is up since the 7th December
that does not explain the last bump form #20-25 to #15
the xb1 is up in the hourly, too #6 now up form #8-9 latest

Looks like it won't be close. The X1 is shaping up to dominate at an even bigger scale than it did in November. The homeland is in the bag, them 360 players are finally upgrading.

Go Green!

While it's great the XB1 is doing well i think it's too early to call anything. The deals are insane, and hard to pass up, but they won't last into the new year. Sony has yet to do anything with PS4's price also. We still haven't seen what a plain $350 XB1 can do against PS4. $399 didn't do anything so i'm curious what a $50 price difference would do if it stays that way. MS can't give away free games the entire generation.

Its crazy the amount of people who said the AC Unity bundle would fizzle out after it released.

That's not really a fair statement. Weeks prior to the release of the bundle (which was a known quantity), the Xbox price drop hadn't been announced yet, and no one expected the bundle to replace the regular Xbox One SKU for the duration of the holiday.

I also think it's important to note that the two AC games bundled in here probably have very little to do with why the system is selling. Most people I've sold to console to personally didn't care for the games or asked if they could pick different games.

Yes but i doubt it's because of the Destiny bundle. PS4 deals and GTAV bundle seem to be about over at retail stores (i did see someone buy a bundle at bestbuy last night actually) so maby people are returning to Amazon.

Well for this month like November. I think its already set in stone. That's why I'm surprised MS haven't made the price drop permanent. This is an easy win for them.

Also, I believe MS can give away free games the entire generation. They print money man. This is but a drop in the bucket for them.

Got to give a lot of this credit to Phil Spencer, this man has done a great job, shown up to Small podcast he doesn't have to and worked overtime to get Xbox One back on track, good job.

But it's not an easy win. It took a $170 price drop under a year with free games and gift cards to beat Sony. I wouldn't call that easy. That's doing everything you possibly can to win. Which, imo, puts Sony in a good position for the future since MS is doing all these things so early. It makes price drops later on less effective for XB1 since it's already so cheap. All the while Sony still has room to change their price. And MS may have alot of money, but no company likes to lose it. Not even Apple.

Wouldn´t you say then that Sony did thing even earlier?

They were 100$ cheaper for most of the year AND struck deals with heavy hitter like Destiny and Watchdogs.

It hasn´t been easy to Sony to drop the price of the console. They don´t have a $100 add-on device to remove.

$399 was the launch price and hasn't changed since. Sony still has more moves to make. Those marketing deals are nothing really big. They both do it all the time. The PS4 actually is easier to drop in price. There was a article were Sony mentioned the hardware was designed to get cheaper much faster than PS3.

Well, may be they have more moves to make. But they didn´t make many last year but for the co-marketing deals.

However everything this last year points that Microsoft could pull more agressives price drops with some reseanable success. The Kinectless XOne is $50 cheaper for almost two months in the USA, Sony barely hold two weeks.
