Zelda and Xenoblade are going to brutalise my life next year.

| HyrulianScrolls said: It looks gorgeous (even off screen crappy vid quality), but yeah that world was soooo empty! Crazy huge, but empty. Kinda hope they still have a long ways to go, but they're insisting next year so... I for one love the horse mechanics though. Like others have said, you're still controlling its direction, you just don't have to steer it going straight. And that opens up a world of possibility for much more satisfying horseback combat. Let's just hope they take advantage of that. |
Like I said in another thread, I think that most of the emptiness is intentional for the demonstration. Devs do this, restructuring level layoutss and disabling enemies to control demonstrations. They wanted to focus on the world map and controls and travel here I think, so disabling most of the enemies (rather simple to do actually) makes that easier. Bethesda did this as well when they demoed Skyrim: several areas where enemies appear in the final game, they were disabled, and the dungeon they explored emptied out onto the tundra, which isn't where that dungeon empties out in the game. They did that to streamline the progression so that they could show what they wanted at the time. No reason to doubt that's being done here, imo.

Taking away the vaceline haze that off screen adds, going direct feed this tells me that this game will be boootifal!!!!
I'm reall not getting how people can call this sparsely populated, the scenery looks very lush, just look at the waterfall on the right at the beginning of the gif.
The wild horses were a nice touch in another section Anouma and Miyamoto showed. I can't wait for this game!!!

It's not really move by itself. It's just collision detection done right. Horses don't hit trees.
Very poor graphics, could be a N64 or PS2 game. But I will still buy a Wii-U with Xenoblade and Zelda next year.

Oh I don't know, maybe because OP asked for impressions and that was mine? It's still has a way to go yeah, but compared to earlier showings of other open world style games like dragon age inquisition, GTAV on next Gen and shadow of mordor, Zelda doesn't look as well.
Its called first impressions buddy.

Dafuq with that first sentence? Really^ :-/

The best part was the view from the top of that cliff. I'm thinking the gameplay looks a bit too Skyward Swordy for me, so I hope that gets tuned up, And that better have not been an energy meter for running I spotted underneath the hearts. If so, this might just be an instant pass for me.

Geez, at least try to make the hate slightly convicing if you're gonna troll.
