It was certainly Nintendo's year.  Half because they had a stacked line-up and half because it was the first year for the XO and PS4.  Regardless, they deserved to shine at the end of the year awards.

Thats no excuse^ :p

What?  No excuse for what?

I really don't think we should dig too deep into Nintendo's Zelda presentation. Nintendo's goals in this presentation were to show off the vastness of the world, the beautiful graphics, and some of Link's movement/attack options while on horse-back. And I thought they did all of these things well (aside from the fact that the screen was hard to see). But in my opinion, that was way too short of a presentation to start to say that the world is too sparse.

The major issue with the Zelda preview was that it was never meant to be the climatic finale at the end of a super-hyped game awards ceremony. I think that is why most people are disappointed. The clip was meant to be a clinical analysis showing people the type of real-world gameplay that Zelda will be offering gamers (exactly what was missing from E3). Unfortunately, it was plugged into a slot that was meant for a theatrical trailer with flashing lights... This preview couldn't possibly deliver that.

I found it to be quite troubling that Microsoft didn't decide to show off gameplay of Halo 5 or games like Quantum Break.

Dammit Nintendo you justdon't tease StarFox like that, but, eh, at least Zelda is looking acceptable this one time I guess.

I'm now filled with determination.

ZELDA GOTY 2015

Prediction: Nintendo Switch 2 sells 18 million until the end of 2025

X1/PS4 being first Year. WiiU had SM3DW competing against games like GTA5 and one of the best of last gen TLoU!

3DS had a few good games as well year 1, then there is Sony HH Vita thats in its 3rd year :p

I know 1st year is definitely hard as looking at the past and wat we seen now, but then again we have SM World (SNES) and SM64  :0

So where the hell was Microsoft? They showed virtually nothing tonight.

They said they weren't going to.

They did say that a few days ago. Geoff also said there were gonna be 12 premieres and then lowered it to 7 or 9?

I think they caught wind that Nintendo was gonna bring out Zelda and jumped off ship. They know that whatever they showed would have the spotlight stolen by Zelda. I wouldnt be surprised if Sony pulled something out once Microsoft announced it. A bit of a shame, but given the show went well, maybe next year there will be more and better premieres.

I would have waited too, this show was overly long and showed way to many indie games, I ended up pausing it so I could skim through.  Spikes shows are way better.

The most deserved game wins GOTY! Congratulations Dragon Age and the Bioware team!
