It doesn't look too bad for what it is, but it's a far cry from what the next-gen Resident Evil should be.

For me personally, outside of Nintendo, this gen is really disappointing thus far and for the foreseeable future. Quantum Break looks intriguing and I'm sure Uncharted 4 will deliver, but 3rd party multiplats are not exciting me in the least. You know it's troublesome when the new COD is the most exciting thing around right now, lol.

You never played as a swat team. Resident Evil is scary. It has a scary atmosphere, without getting supernatural. And Resident Evil was never an Action Horror game. Where did you get that? Heck, in Resident Evil 2, there's no action. You play as a college student and a cop with 1 day experience. In Code Veronica, you play as a college student again and a son of a researcher. I agree that Resident Evil 5 was a good shooter, but not a Resident Evil game.

Enemy and partner AI I think are a vital component of the gameplay. Claire's animation are indeed a pet peeve of mine and shouldn't matter that much, though. :)

Oh, you're right about the AI! I was mostly taking about the other things!
