Not my type of game at all but I enjoyed it a lot more than Heavy Rain.

The acting and direction was pretty much spot on. Especially during the winter blizard, desert ranch and africa scenes. Story stumbled a bit towards the end though.

The game was good but as fireburn said he don't do sequels. He likely has a new IP lined up. Either way I preferred Heavy rain for it's story. I never once suspected the killer nad was absolutely intrigued by it. Loved some of the endings on it too. And loved the way you could miss out on a lot of cool levels if a character died so while getting the platinum for it i played some new areas for the first time. i wish a film was made of Heavy Rain

The Homeless chapter is one of the most emotional segments in video games I ever experienced.

I found it a great game on par with Heavy Rain, though surprisingly incomparable with different strengths and weaknesses. The acting from Ellen Page (throughout) and Willem Dafoe (especially when he goes crazy at the end, but also in his heartfelt moments with young Jodie) was amazing, something that can't be said about the Heavy Rain cast, and the story was I felt better. The action also felt more involved with a lot more freeform control.

Cage doesn't do sequels as he's said multiple times

Get Your Portable ID!Lord of Ratchet and Clank

Duke of Playstation Plus

Warden of Platformers

I liked it okay, but it annoyed me at times. I'll probably platinum it though.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

I've been meaning to do a chronological order play through for a long time, now. Maybe now is that time.

The dinner/date sequence is one of the standout moment for me, because, like you said, at that point in the narrative, we view Ryan as a complete asshole, but Jodie tells us how charming and funny he is. I'll never forget the feelings I had when I couldn't decide whether I wanted to use Aiden to sabotage the date or if I should just stop it and let Jodie have some fun for a change. It's her life, after all, so who am I to mess around with it?

Writing that makes me feel so conflicted is pretty great if you ask me. Love the game.

I have been on the trophy hunt in the game, so I have been playing multiple times and seeing different outcomes. The Dinner definitely stands out. I got hit in the feels when Jodie gets out the shower and sees Aiden has written something on the foggy mirror, "You don't need him. you have me". It makes me feel so bad. As lonely as Jodie thinks she is..........Aiden is lonlier.  I do feel for Jodie, because one of her biggest issues is that she has had limited control over the course her life takes. Its even more depressing if you play that scene and be a complete asshole as Aiden, when she asks Aiden is he proud of running off everyone she tries to get close to and just sits there crying.

Side note: A person I never felt guilty for being a dick to? Her Foster Father, god what an A-hole. I really wanted him dead. When you adopt someone, you are suppose to do it with unconditional love in your heart. I don't care if she was the Anti-Christ, you love the child in spite of those things. I don't respect the mother either because she let her husband convince her that abandoning this girl at 6-8 was the right thing to do. Uhg, I get angry thinking about it now :P

Homeless is a good chapter. My first playthrough I had no idea there were so many options on attempting to get money.

-You can sit on corner begging, customize your sign to get dif outcomes.

-You can rob ATM using Aiden

-You can steal some change from the Newsstand Vending Machines

-You can go to Pizzareia and beg for food....unsuccessfully.

-You can agree to prostitute yourself for $10.

-You can play the Guitar and play a tune, and share the proceeds with the guy who let you borrow it.

And looking back....... Stan and the rest were the nicest people Jodie ever met. I almost wish Stan was a serious romance option.

I'm a bit torn on which I like more now. Heavy Rain was amazing to me. It's various choice options had drastically different outcomes. The mystery and adrenaline from the stakes made it maybe more enjoyable. I do really love the Jodie/Aiden mystery as well. Beyond's choices seem to have far more suttle effects on your storyline (Like how the rape scene hinders your ability to be intimate with Ryan several scenes later). So much of Beyond's deep story is also told in suttle environmental clues that you have to dig and discover.

True, that writing on the mirror was very touching! I can't even describe how incredibly moved I was at the end when I saw the "Still Here" message. Just thinking about that gives me goosebumps. And I hated her foster father too, couldn't stop myself from killing him.

Some of my other fav moments were when Jodie tries to commit suicide, when she plays guitar to get money, (the whole Homeless chapter is fantastic) and the part called "The Condenser", which was very creepy and atmospheric!

Remembering all that right now really makes me want to play through it a fourth time :)

No sequel? So, just... leave the game on a cliffhanger? Are you guys serious? Anyway... Regardless of the ending you pick, the credits show jodie, so I took that as the games true ending. If that shouldn't have been the case, then the credits should have been altered. It was 2013, they could have done something different if they wanted.
