Imo, DoA is too much of a button masher. I could come in a total noob and manage to win a few fights against my friends who've played for months. That's not good. :|

Virtua Fighter 5, in comparison, is the complete opposite. It's a very technical fighter, that involves insanely complex combos. I could never figure any of them out, so I was always quick to give up on that series.

Tekken, however, is in the middle, though it leans more on the side of Virtua Fighter. It's much easier to get into than VF, but it still takes a good bit of playing to master, and it's hard to win fights without at least some practice (against other people, I mean. The comp is generally pretty easy to beat).

In the end, I definitely prefer Tekken out of the three. In Tekken, good players actually have an edge, unlike DoA, and it doesn't require hours of practice to become at least decent, like VF.

But in the end, SSB trumps them all. :P

Dead or alive is crazy fast paced which I like .Also graphics man ,have you seen dead or alive graphics??

when is tekken gonna implement some nice destructable environment like dead or alive (throwing off the character from a high rise through the glass or breaking all the light signs in the street) .

I never really saw how DoA4 looked much better than DoA:U.

Please tell me which is which. :P

lol, that's a tough one.But we can argue that the ultimate was wayy ahead of it's time.

I have to say the first pic is newer, cause the environmrnts look ore next gen but I could be  wrong though.?But you gotta admit they both have better graphics than tekken 5.(haven't seen 6)

You haven't seen Tekken 6? Check out the ps3 exclusives thread up at the top. :P

And yes, you got it right. :)

Tekken for the win. I was SOOOO into this series when I was younger. I would play it all the damn time with my friends who would even try to compete at a national level. Every fighting game is usually extremely technical when you get down to the nitty gritty stuff, including the Smash series. You just have to accept that as a bonus/limitation of the genre.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson
