Forums - Nintendo - Is Square-Enix due for a Nintendo franchise revival?

Doubt it, would make much more sense to make a PS4 exclusive.
Unless Nintendo gives them a very prestigious IP, but even then...

It has a bigger chance to be an Xbox One exclusive than for it to come for WiiU.

Square already abandoned the console.

This would only be reasonable if Microsoft would be willing to fund a project, being they are getting FFXV and KHIII I don't think that'll be the case. Who knows though, Microsoft might surprise everyone.

Secret of Mana HD? Oh yes. Does it fit Nintendo's platform? Why, of course! Would it sell a million? I think so!

Depends, if Enix title most likely it will end up being ps4 exclusive, Square most likely ps4/XOne. Imo.

The world is veiled in darkness.

The wind stops, the sea is wild, and the earth begins to rot.

The people wait, their only hope, a prophecy

I highly doubt SQEX are developing for WiiU, more likely a mid tier JRPG exclusive to PS4 or PlayStation consoles.

I'd buy it I love the Mana and Chrono series. If this were a Nintendo franchise revival I would hope it would be one or the other.

Well if this is the case I hope Nintendo also goes and funds the translation of DragonQuest on 3DS.

I want this game now!

But to answer your question:

Secret of Mana would be my choice. (no tower bullshit like Children of Mana)
Or another game in the SoulBlazer(Blader), Illusion of Tima(Gaia), Terranigma trilogy
Or Chrono Trigger (but I dont like turn based as much as realtime)

A lot of these I don't know, but I'd love to see Chrono Break!

Man you have to play those games.  At least Secret of Mana and Terranigma (which was kinda the European Chrono Trigger. Chrono Trigger only came to the US, Terranigma only came to Europe.)

Dragon Quest XI for PS3 and PS4 is what I was thinking.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Would love if it was on Nintendo, or at least multiplat which somehow involved Nintnedo, unless the new game is handheld?

Like others said Mario RPG 2 would be amazing to see, though I really can't see it happening unfortunately.
