Furthermore, its giving free content to those who actually own the game, so this is actually good for all gamers.

Except those of us who actually want something new out of this creatively bankrupt generation.

Considering that Bloodborne, the most anticipated game on Ps4 is coming before this version of DS2, it is safe to say you have no idea what you are talking about.

Considering that this is yet another case of the gaming industry feeding us reheated leftovers instead of investing that effort into fresh experiences, yes I do know what I am talking about.

Thats why Miyazaki is developing Bloodborne, first Demon's Souls, then Dark Souls and now Bloodborne =D

Any sane PS4 owner will pick up Bloodborne before DkS2.

I should certainly hope they support new content over recycled content.

Why is it acceptable to port games over to other consoles and it's not acceptable when these ports gets a slight visual/performance upgrade?

Because reasons -_-

It is a business decision to attract more customers, it has nothing to do with "limiting creativity". They are investing into fresh experiences, as said, thier new IP, Bloodborne, is coming before this.

Look at all the next gen rehashes recently; The Last of Us Remastered, Wind Waker, Sleeping Dogs, Tomb Raider, the list goes on. That's a lot of resources that would be better spent on actual new experiences.

I mean, if it floats your boat, more power to you, but I'd rather something fresh.

I understand, but you are making assumptions. Most companies have their main projects under development in addition to the small projects here and there. The last of us and Uncharted 4, DS2 and Bloodborne, Wind Walker and the New Zelda, Tomb rider and the Rise of Tomb Raider, Xenoblade 3ds and Xenoblade X, Type-0 HD and FF XV... etc

Good new games take time to make. We will have to wait a little while longer.

I know, it's just frustrating. I bought those games (the ones that interested me) last gen, I'd rather they spent that investment on something exciting and new. I know this isn't stopping them making new content per se, but when I think about the cumulative time, money, and manpower consumed by all these remasters...

I will be getting this. And Bloodborne. From Software goodness.
