It is a business decision to attract more customers, it has nothing to do with "limiting creativity". They are investing into fresh experiences, as said, thier new IP, Bloodborne, is coming before this.

Look at all the next gen rehashes recently; The Last of Us Remastered, Wind Waker, Sleeping Dogs, Tomb Raider, the list goes on. That's a lot of resources that would be better spent on actual new experiences.

I mean, if it floats your boat, more power to you, but I'd rather something fresh.

I understand, but you are making assumptions. Most companies have their main projects under development in addition to the small projects here and there. The last of us and Uncharted 4, DS2 and Bloodborne, Wind Walker and the New Zelda, Tomb rider and the Rise of Tomb Raider, Xenoblade 3ds and Xenoblade X, Type-0 HD and FF XV... etc

Good new games take time to make. We will have to wait a little while longer.
