Violence has nothing to do with it. Plenty of Smash characters are violent. Samus exterminates entire species, murders armies of alien life forms, and then (just to be thorough) destroys the entire planet or space station on which she committed this act of genocide.

Yes and thats why her Amiibo is wrapped inside a metal armor suit...

I don't follow. You're referring to the suit she's wearing when all of this violence takes place. Would a Zero Suit Samus amiibo be more violent? Because that's almost certainly happening as well.

Im just kidding

Hey, if a Zero Suit Samus Amiibo is coming, then I dont see why a Bayonetta one couldnt as well...

It could, but that doesn't mean it will. For the time being, the only confirmed amiibo set is the Smash set. Mario Kart doesn't have its own amiibo line, Hyrule Warriors doesn't, Captain Toad, Yoshi's Woolly World, Kirby Rainbow curse -- they use the Smash amiibo but don't seem to be getting sets of their own.

They already have; there's a Samus Amiibo, a character from a series where you splatter alien entrails all over your visor and read gruesomely clinical descriptions of how characters died.

Edit: Beaten to the punch.

I don't see why not they wouldn't make a Bayonetta or Snake amiibo. Afterall, they're optional to buy.. not like Nintendo is forcing every person to buy them.

Well they dont own either characters for a start...

Well for starters they wouldn't make amiibo for those characters because they aren't in Smash Bros.

It's an interesting concept. Imagine that instead of buying character based dlc for games separately, buying an Amibo acts essentially like a season pass for the Wii U for that character.

As for adult games, i'd imagine having future m rated titles with costumes with amibos sounds decent.

I <3 Classic Platformers!

Multi-console Owner FTW

I think they could.

Small cosmetic changes like costumes, hats or weapons. Nintendo seems much more open to "mature" content, but I don't think they would go all out and actually put their character in the game.

If it is above Teen in ratings, there is no way Nintendo would make Amiibos for it... outside of Japan.

I could see them do something for Fatal Frame but then again I don't know how they rate that in Japan anyway it may be the equivalent of T over there.

The Fatal Frame 2 remake on Wii was as MA here in Australia, which is equivalent to an M in the US.
