Okami is better.

Allright, I started the original mode.
When I finish it, I'll probably make thread to tell you my impressions.

I've got to play that as well, I got it for free on the ps plus.

Master Quest, I never played. But the Playthroughs I saw make it seem that most things are different.

I was just replying this! maybe is a used copy of the game with an old save data!

Few games have an art style as incredible as Okami's...

The soundtrack is incredible too...

The dungeons, however, I found to be unengaging...

Having said that, I do prefer Okami to a fair number of Zelda titles that have come since OoT...

If you really want to play it on "hard"... then you should never grab the heart containers! Do a 3 hearts run, that should make the game difficult enough.

Original for sure. God created the original, Satan created Master Quest.

Start with original! Hopefully it's the type of game you'll enjoy. It probably won't be as hard as you're looking for, in terms or being killed by enemies like in the Souls series, but perhaps the puzzles will give you the challenge you need.
And with it being your first Zelda who knows, the enemies might prove to be a nuisance for a while.
I never did play Zelda for the difficulty, just for the overall fun and amazing experience.

I would go with normal. My first zelda game was ALBW and it was brilliant. I got Links Awakening at start of summer holidays but after them I barely played it. Still need to finish it....

Gosh, I still need to play a 3D Zelda before Zelda U.......it probably will be MM or OOT.
