Forums - Gaming - Digital Foundry: Dragon Age Inquisition

been playing this a bit on PS4. No issues in game, but the cutscenes drop noticeably. That said it does not impact the experience and this game is a must have for RPG fans.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Xbone beats PS4 again in terms of stability, Sony get your things together 900p/45fps>1080p/sort a 30fps.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

I'm happy DAI seem to run great on xb1 and ps4.
20 hours plus in playing on ps4, but haven't noticed any frame rate problems at all (except cutscenes of course).
Really a must-play for those on console that like RPGs.
Not 100% sure yet about the skyrimming of DA but so far I think I like it.

I decided to buy it on PC, mostly because I'm playing Unity on my PS4 and I'm lazy about changing discs

I've plugged in my new white DualShock 4 and it works great (with DS4 tool or whatever it's called)

The main disappointment is that I've had to turn it down from ultra, but 1080p with mostly high settings at 60 fps. I could possibly optimise it a bit more, but I'm just going with Nvidia control panel settings, I'm sure they're okay

But even at non-ultra, it does look fantastic. At real ultra it looks even better, but it's not worth it for the 20fps that I'd be getting

You need to try harder

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.

Dragon Age has always been a PC exclusive for me and will probably always remain so.

Pity the M&K interface aparently sucks...

It certainly didnt suck for the first two, far more intuitive than a controller just because of the sheer amount of actions you can perform

It aparently controls completly differently. Like they removed click to move, you have to manually walk up to stuff and press a button to interact with objects, but you also can't walk so it's hard to get in the right spot,  there is no free camera and you have to hold down right mouse button to pan the camera around etc. They basicallly took the gamepad controls and then mapped it to mouse and keyboard. It sounds terrible

Wow. I had no idea about that! I might need to think twice about getting the game if it controls that bad :/
