Forums - Sales - Looks like X1 will get November

Nov is definitely getting interesting. There was a post on Gaf where the member said the PS4 has started to overtake the XBO in sales for the week in his district.  And by quite a bit.  The PS4 seems to be remaining on top on Amazon hourly, while the XBO Unity Bundle is starting to slowly fall, like the other XBO bundles did. And the PS4 Destiny Bundle is hanging above the next XBO SKU on the list.

Like I said before, the PS4 has remained above the XBO on Wal-Mart and Gamestop all month. And on both sites, it seems the PS4 has moved up a few spots, while the XBO has dropped a few. On Wal-mart, the PS4 has 5 SKUs (#1, #9, #10, #16, and #18) in the Top 20 (when just looking at PS4 and XBO items), while XBO has 3 (#2, #4, and #12.)

MS hardly has this month on lock. If Sony pulls off a victory in Nov, as well, it will be quite devastating for MS, considering how much profit they are sacrificing this month and next just to try and beat the PS4.

PS4 is up at 4th place on amazon.Did something happened?

As long as the ps4 is making sony pure profit at 399.. That matters more than selling just less than Xbox one

I dont think that scenario is set in stone. Its quite possible that X1 could win non holiday weeks in the US, if the price differential stays. Momentum can changes especially this early in the gen.

Ummm you do know the price drop is only thru the holidays and only in the US as far as it being early on, microsoft is not sony.  Best case scenario they break even in the us overall and get annihilated in europe and japan not even taking into acct whats gonna happen when sony has a price cut or puts out more of their bigger AAA games as well as when it drops those consoles in china in the next little bit.  At the end of the day its all about marketshare/penetration and microsoft just cant at the global level no matter what stunt they try to pull.

I was referring specifically to US sales. Regardless of whether the price cut is permanent or not, the increased sales over the holiday perioud puts X1 on the map...it wins mindshare and from my pointof view it seems to be working. Its definitely getting more positive coverage now than it was earlier in the year.

And like i said, the gen is early, momentum can change at any time especially in the US.

I don't think so. PS4 has a GTA V bundle for Black Friday and that game is just massive.
Walmart is also selling a PS4 for $399 with a $50 gift card.

PS4 is getting good deals too. XBO has only won these 2 weeks because of the price cut + Call Of Duty effect combined. Things should return to normal in the next few weeks once PS4 starts getting its bundles out there.

Pretty impressive of XB1 that it closed the gap by 200k in the US these past 2 weeks though. I just don't think it will last. Price alone isn't enough to win the holidays and the XB1 doesn't have any killer exclusive this holiday either. It will come down to popularity, stock and retailer discounts and bundles.

Exactly. Microsoft is playing their cards way too early while Sony is just sitting back letting the PS4 sell itself.

Probably 100k only, because Vgchartz took the wrong numbers and did 90X3 for the first week of november when it's probably 60/70 X 3.

Same for the second week, who is based on the first one.

We will probably see a really bad month for vgchartz estimates, i expect 50% error at least for nearly all consoles.

i'm pretty sure Xbox One will outsell PS4 2 to 1 , after all those marketing , promo's and price cuts they've made , getting 50/50 actual units sold against the PS4 should be the minimum.... if for whatever reason PS4 wins November... MS should just focus on WiiU

Yes, MS will win November. The homeland will be retaken, it starts now!
