Forums - Nintendo - Will Wii U be up YoY in Japan this year?

The bigger question is; will it matter in the end? Japan is more or less irrelevant for home consoles today and Nintendo, like the others, would be better off focusing their efforts on Europe and the US.

Very true, glad I'm not the only one who remembered that.

The "tax hike" was only 3% and the effect it had was only temporary. Being that it was across all purchases, it's not likely people are going to ignore what they want because it cost 3% more.
