Forums - Gaming Discussion - So Umm, Out of All The Games This Gen So Far, Only 6 Are Over 90+ on Metacritic... And All Are Nintendo Games (4 are 1st Party)! XD

Rayman Legends it's not an 8th gen game, it launched on 360 and PS3. 



My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

They do try new things though, but people ignore most of them!!! :-/ I mean look, we got 2 brand new ips coming up soon( before June), though one is getting some decent hype, the other isnt really getting attention yet, and probably wont despite the games mechanics looking great!

Not that impressive huh? 4 of the 5 is from the same developer (Nintendo) which is already more than half of what 99% of the gaming industry companies will get this gen let alone 4.

X1/PS4 has more games on those systems than WiiU (and by a huge margin). that needs to be taking into account as well.

As for P4G, even if its an updated, with lots more content, its still the same game(originated from gen 6 ps2) Same could be said with Metroid Zero Mission which completely changed the game. (others like Kirby NMiDL/Pokemon ORAS/Pokemon HGSS/etc)

Relax with me Tbone. Nothing to get so defensive about if I don't find it impressive. It's mostly because I dislike Mario so I always think those games are overscored. Plus the 2-3 timeframe of course.

Every single one of those games are IPS from existing franchises which makes me realize how sad reviewers are. Games like Dragon age: inquisition and Far cry 4 are better than their predecessors which both got a 91 meta and yet the sequels are lower rated. I just think reviewers grade Most Nintendo exclusives differently compared to other games like they're not even AAA games which they usually nitpick.

Which game would you rank above 90+ ??? 

Titanfall was a great game but lack single player. Destiny was disapointing and metascore is reflecting this perfectly.

I would argue Mario Kart 8, Pikmin 3, Donkey kong country: Tropical Freeze deserve 90+ but we would just be adding to Nintendo's list.

7th gen games don't work on 8th gen consoles, no backwards compatibility. And SMG+SMG2 are developed for 7th gen not 8th gen. I think your cherries are have gone bad, you should stop eating them.

Remastering a game is not DEVELOPPING is it? It's simply the same thing Nintendo did to Windwaker HD.
