I think the obvious huge expectations of the big Halo fans has caused Halo expectations to be too high. I used my prediction in Kowen's prediction thread to purposely cause a higher anchor and adjustment in his thread. Look up anchor and adjustment hueristic.

It's evidently doing on par with COD. Ahead of it on all the sites, any bit of info we have shows Halo ahead selling more.

Funny tho, if/when it does 1m+ in US, that = about 1.6m WW given userbase ratios.

Nice try to deflect VGC numbers as false. So you are already preparing the "undertrack" excuse. Of course, we can never expect VGC numbers to be exact, thus giving you some leeway.

NPD will not show anything for the 1st week, as you of course know, as NPD is a monthly report and will include 4 weeks of Halo sales.

But, luckily, we will as soon as tomorrow find out UK approximate numbers and placement, and everyone will be a whole lot wiser.

I do not know what info, or sites you speak of. I would not be surprised if it is selling on par with Cod. If anything if Halo is selling like CoD then it is selling better globally then most predictions in his thread.

You can't use userbase ratios. You'll also have to account for different regions preffering different genres/franchises etc.

Well if Halo's ratio is basically equal to userbase ratio, then yes, you can use it. I was just noting that userbase ratios aren't neccesarily correct (or even close to it). In that case, JRPGs would sell a lot more in the west than they actually do.

I think it's more interesting to see if it can boost Xbox One console sales more than Call of Duty and if the multiplayer network problems have MCC affected sales.
